Mangaluru, May 6: The district BJP unit staged protest here at DC office on Monday May 6, against state government condemning it for indulging in hate politics.
Addressing the protestors, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyasa Kamath said, "Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy led coalition government in the state are indulging in hate politics. Those who speak against the government are being arrested for which the government needs to be ashamed of. When a former MLA passed derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, even after a complaint was filed, no action has been taken yet. The coalition government has brought emergency situation in the state.
“What is the contribution of the coalition government so far? Kumaraswamy needs coastal region to take rest and for vacation, but makes controversial remarks against the region,” he said.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, "As per surveys, Congress will face heavy defeat and JD(S) will not win even a single seat. Kumaraswamy is in fear of losing his chair while other Congress leaders are worried about their constituencies. There is no doubt that on May 24, the coalition government will collapse.
“Kumaraswamy has become ‘Aarama Swamy’ as he is worried about the present situation in the state and is not sure of the coalition government surviving in the future. Mangaluru is facing severe water crisis and the chief minister did not even visit the city and conduct meeting to resolve the crisis,” he said.
