Mangalore: Dr Jayaprakash Alva Takes Over as Fr Muller Medical College Dean

Mangalore, Apr 5: Dr Jayaprakash Alva took charge as dean of Fr Muller Medical College here on Saturday April 4.

Dr Alva took charge from Dr B Sanjeev Rai at a welcome ceremony held at the Academy Hall and organized by Fr Muller Charitable Institutions. Dr Rai had served as dean in the institution for the past 10 years.

















 
Addressing the staff and students of the college after being felicitated during the ceremony Dr Rai said that all the staff of the college had supported him during his tenure.

He said that decisions had been taken only after mutual consultations. Dr Rai also pointed out that if a teacher has no time teach one’s students he should not continue. He asked his successor to guide the institution to great success. 

Some colleagues of Dr Rai including Fr Staney Tauro recounted their memories of him. An eight-minute documentary on Dr Rai by students was also screened on the occasion by the students.  

Fr Denis D’Sa and Fr Patrick Rodrigues were present on the occasion.

    Dr.Rai, as the Dean of Fr Muller's College you have done Great services to this Institution for the past ten years.I was shocked to hear that you have given up this post.I under stand that your not able to give proper attention to your students.As a Medical Representative I have met you in preson.The support you had given me will always be rememberd.I was also happy to see Dr.Denzil Pinto with you in DAIJI WORLD. Dr.Denzil also is dedicating is good service to Fr.Muller's since long.
