Udupi, May 3: “Suvarna Tribhuja fishing boat which sailed from Malpe on December 13 went missing along with seven fishermen in it. Its remains have been found now. The Navy has killed the fishermen,” said former minister of fisheries Pramod Madhwaraj on Friday, May 3, repeating his previous allegation.
Speaking to reporters after holding discussions with the chief minister at Sai Radha Health Resort here, Pramod said that Indian Navy has killed all the seven fishermen. “I had said that earlier and saying it now again. A judicial inquiry should be held to bring out the truth. The inquiry should be held by retired Supreme Court judge,” he urged.
Pramod also released a photo of Suvarna Tribhuja and said the photo explains the damage done to the boat.

“I have already spoken to the chief minister about it. The families of missing fishermen should be paid a minimum compensation of Rs 10 lac each. BJP is indulging in politics on the dead bodies of fishermen. The inquiry should be held holding Indian Navy as responsible in the case,” he demanded.
