Going back as a Bishop to his Parent diocese where he was incardinated as a Priest is a recognition of his good work in Karwar. Bishop Derek has completed 11 years service as the Bishop of Karwar and still has 11 years tenure as a Bishop. Belgaum Diocese is lucky to get an experienced Bishop.

Bishop Derek has spelled success as a person, as a priest and as a Bishop of Karwar. His leaving Karwar is a great loss to the city and people of Karwar Diocese. Bishop Derek spells success wherever he goes. He was a loved Bishop in Karwar and I am sure he will also be loved and admired by the people of Belgaum.

I join scores of people in wishing Bishop Derek the best of everything in Belgaum.
