Kasargod, May 1: The police here have arrested two more accused in the murder case of Kripesh and Sharath Lal, youth Congress activists who were hacked to death in February.
The arrested accused persons are identified as Pradeep (38) and Mani (32). The total number of accused has risen to 11 with the arrest of these two.
The investigating team has got the information that the eighth accused in the case, Subeesh has escaped to overseas country. It is learnt that Pradeep is the one who hatched the plot for the twin murder. The investigating team has unearthed the fact that Pradeep helped to give new clothes to the accused after the murders, along with Subeesh. Mani had helped the murderers to reach Uduma zonal office of CPM.

Pradeep, who was absconding, was spotted by the workers of the Congress party on April 23 when he came to cast his vote in the Lok Sabha election. The Congress workers promptly took his photo, and handed over the same to the investigating team. Soon after getting the photo, the investigating police officers arrested Pradeep and Mani.
Kripesh and Sharath Lal, who were youth Congress activists, were murdered on the night of February 12, when they were returning home on bike. Nine people including local CPM leader Peetambaran were arrested earlier.
Crime branch is investigating the case now.
