Hospet, Apr 28: It is learnt that Kampli MLA J N Ganesh, who is released on conditional bail recently, has met MLA Anand Singh, who was assaulted by Ganesh, at the Venugopal temple in the city.

It is said that Ganesh touched the feet of Prithviraj Singh, father of MLA Anand Singh and asked forgiveness from him. In addition, it is learnt that both the MLAs spoke for more than one hour due to the mediation done by Samiullah, close aide of MLA Anand Singh.

Ganesh was arrested on the accusation of assaulting Anand Singh at Eagleton Resort in the month of January 2019 and secured conditional bail recently.

Speaking to scribes MLA Ganesh said, "MLA Anand Singh and I belong to the same taluk. Even then, this petty brawl has blown out of proportions due to some vested interests. When I was in prison former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi and minister E Tukaram might have met me as we belong to the same caste. However, there is no need to give much colour to these meetings."

In the meantime, MLA Ganesh also met MLA Suryanarayana Reddy and discussed various matters with him.
