Bengaluru, Apr 28: A man, who had been harassing his wife and daughter by secretly filming them and threatening them, was arrested by the city police.
Based on a complaint filed by the wife, the police arrested Uday Vernekar, a private firm employee, charging him for outraging the modesty of women and criminal intimidation.
Uday Vernekar was produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
The victim said that her husband Uday Vernekar used to secretly film them while they got dressed. When she came to know about this, she confronted her husband following which he threatened to upload the videos on social media. The husband even justified his act by saying that she was her property and he could do anything with her. But she did not know that her husband filmed their daughter as well.
However, later when the victim realised that Uday had also been doing the same with his daughter, she decided to take up the complaint with police. The accused threatened to kill her. But the victim filed a complaint with the Adugodi police.
