Bengaluru, Apr 24: The Karnataka State Commission for Women, on Tuesday, Apr 23, dropped the case of alleged sexual harassment filed against Bangalore South BJP candidate Tejasvi Surya.

The action follows an email sent to the Commission by the woman whom the Congress had accused Surya of harassment.

"I have not filed any complaint against Tejasvi Surya and we are good friends. The complaint by Congress leaders was politically motivated to ruin the political career of Surya, Hence the complaint should be dropped," the woman had written in the mail.

“The Commission dropped the case after the woman rubbished the allegations,” said Nagalakshmi Bai, chairperson of the Commission.

The woman had tweeted accusing Tejasvi Surya of sexually harassing her.
