Mangaluru, April 22: Razeena (58) from Baikampady, who lost her life in the deadly blasts that took place in Sri Lanka on Sunday, April 22, was having her breakfast at the Shangri-La Hotel after seeing off her husband at Colombo airport on the morning of Sunday.

Abdul Khader, Razeena's husband, who is employed in Dubai, had accompanied her on a week-long holiday in Sri Lanka. Razeena's relatives are also residing in Sri Lanka. So Razeena and her relatives had gone to the airport to see off Abdul Khader who left for Dubai. The other family members who were with Razeena, when the blast took place, escaped miraculously.

Razeena is originally from the district of Kasargod in the state of Kerala. Her family members are residents of Sri Lanka since many years. The couple who had come down from Dubai to meet Razeena's family had stayed in hotel Shangri-La since a week. As Razeena's husband Khader had to leave back to Dubai on some urgent work, he was dropped at Colombo airport. Razeena who was severely injured in the blast died on the spot. This information was shared by Usman, a resident of the city and brother of Khader.

Khader, husband of Razeena, got the shocking news of her death, when he reached Dubai in the afternoon. He immediately returned to Colombo in another flight. Their two children, who are working in USA, have also started their journey to Colombo. In addition, the family members of Khader have left from Mangaluru for Colombo.

Razeena had decided to come to Mangaluru after the departure of her husband to Dubai. She had also booked a ticket. Razeena was supposed to travel to Bengaluru from Colombo on the afternoon of Sunday and then proceed to Mangaluru through some other flight. But fate snatched her life. The locals near her house in Suratkal say that Razeena had visited the house just a month ago.

Abdul Khader, husband of Razeena, who belongs to the prestigious Kukkady family, was working as a chemical engineer in MCF. He was residing in Suratkal when he was working in MCF. Later, Khader resigned his job in MCF and went to Dubai to join some other company. Razeena also joined him subsequently. The couple’s son and daughter both work in USA. The house belonging to Khader in Baikampady is locked. The couple used to visit the house once or twice in a year.

Terrorists don't know the value of life and keep on creating mess everywhere.unless they reform themselves, lives of people are always in danger whether you are in school, hotel or religious places. The lack of spiritualism drives a man mad. People need to follow the religion in which they have faith and live peacefully. No words can console the family members to fill the void. I condole this untimely death and loss of their near and ones in this blast.
