Mangaluru, Apr 18: The voters who had come to take part in the polling booth No. 029 at Padua school in the Mangaluru (South) segment on Thursday April 18 morning faced lot of inconvenience.
Initially voting began with delay at this booth because of the malfunctioning of the electronic voting machine. The booth also appeared to be suffering from shortage of polling staff, which created problems for the people whose patience was tested by long hours they had to spend for casting their votes.
The fact that people are being sent in and out through a single door in the said polling centre added to the complications. This in effect made the voters to suffer further.
A social activist, Deepu Shettigar, who expressed resentment at the problems encountered at this booth, recorded the same on his cell phone and shared the recording through social websites. This video clip has since become viral.
