Sullia, Apr 16: A fraudster who had cheated more than 100 job aspirants has been arrested in Kerala by the Sullia police.

Abdul Hamid, a resident of Turuthimar in Vadagar in Kerala is the arrested person.

The accused had opened a firm near Jyothi Circle in Sullia in 2015. He had promised more than 100 aspirants of jobs in Malaysia and Singapore. He had taken Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lac each from them and some of them had got jobs as promised.

Those who were yet to get any information about their placements started questioning him about it. They also demanded that the money they had paid to him be returned if they did not get jobs. But, in June 21, 2018, Abdul Hamid locked his office and disappeared. A complaint was registered by the victims at Sullia station subsequently.

Sullia police have finally nabbed the fraudster with the help of Kerala police. Earlier he had given false information about his name and address.

This guy Abdul Hamid is smart. He is self employed and cheating people, that's his profession. Why punish someone for doing their job. He is so skilled and cunning that he can convince others and make them shell out their hard earned money. He feels it is better to cheat and make money rather than fry pakodas and make chai and sell. If politicians can use the same profession like Abdul by fooling people and promising them with 15 lakhs, 2 crore jobs and many other false promises, why bother catching a someone who is doing his job.
