Mangaluru, Apr 13: Prof Raghuveer, Pro- vice chancellor of Yenepoya Deemed University, inaugurated the regional student conference ‘SRISTI 2K19’ here at Kalam Auditorium of St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) on Saturday, April 13.
The conference is organised by National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) in association with St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC).
Addressing the gathering Dr Raguveer said, "Engineering students are known for adjustments in life. Once completed the courses they are becoming a part of the corporate world. They will get to know what is good and bad in corporate world once they get adjusted. They need to be hard working to get entry to an engineering college and the continuity of that hard work makes them perfect and achievable person in society . An engineer cannot think his existence without team work. Building one’s own team is very important in the engineering field. By building a good team, the organisation will appreciate you and in turn, you will get more opportunities and honor in society.
Fr Wilfred Prakash D Souza, director of SJEC, attended as guest of honor. Ashok Thammayya-southern regional vice chairperson of NIPM, Diwakar Kadri-chairperson of NIPM and Prabhoda K S-secretary of NIPM, were present on the dais.
Fr Wilfred Prakash D Souza said, “‘SRISTI 2K19’ aims to strengthen students to face the competition in the corporate world and smoothen their transition from Campus to Corporate. Day by day new innovations are happening in the world; students need to watch on these matters and should focus more on communication, problem solving, client orientation etc. Students can win in their life by facing challenges in career bravely. Today s talks and discussion will help on this matter”
