Mangaluru: Special train to facilitate coastal voters from Bengaluru to vote

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Apr 13: The railways have published the time table of a special rain that leaves Bengaluru the previous day of polling and reaches stations in the coast on the day of polling. The train leaves on the evening of the polling and reaches Bengaluru the next morning.

The southwestern railway zone has issued instructions to run Tatkal special train that moves from Bengaluru to Karwar via Mangaluru and Udupi. It leaves Bengaluru at 10 pm on April 17 from Bengaluru Yashwanthpur, and reaches Karwar at 3.30 pm the next day. It leaves Karwar at 6 pm on April 18 and reaches Bengaluru at 10.35 am on Friday.

The election commission had requested Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation and the railways to consider making travel arrangements for the voters from Bengaluru having voting rights in coastal areas of Karnataka. This initiative was undertaken by taking into account the steep hike effected by private bus operators in bus fares on this route.

This is called height of "modiphobia" no where it is mentioned it is only for a particular party. More over it runs upto Karwar even though voting in UK district is on 23rd.Ppljust complain even though they get some facility. Particularly the chaddiless r more worried than welcoming any new facility.
They r like "ollada gandanige mosaralli kallu"

There could be few people who might skip election and plan some trip on 18th . But I know personally so many people spending 3000 Rs for bus to travel from bangalore to native just to vote. There has been lot of awareness these days and lets encourage more and more people to vote(to the whomever they like to vote, but vote).

Some people are so narrow and sick minded here. Not knowing what to comment. Like everything is happening just by/for one person. get a life guys. Voting is a fundamental right and this is not the first time such decision was taken. Have they mentioned anywhere that this train is only for a specific party voters? Have some basic common sense while you comment. Dont just comment for the sake of commenting.

Because he needs votes now Kateel has launched this Kateel Express which leaves Bangalore at 10:00 pm. This train should have run on all weekends. But he never bothered. Now in order to get votes of those working in Bangalore he has introduced a special train by using the railways for his own political benefit. If he really cared about the people he would have pressurized the railway ministry to run the train on all weekends at 10.00pm. On all other days he will bow down to bus lobby but at the time of voting he needs you to vote.. Pathetic MP
