Mangalore, Mar 17: The third Ginger Hotel in the state was inaugurated in the city on Monday March 16 by Karnataka Bank chairman Anantakrishna.
The hotel with 26 rooms is located at Kottara Chowki. Ginger Hotels is a subsidiary of Roots Corporation Limited, which is in turn fully-owned by Indian Hotels Limited.
Roots Corporation Limited chief executive officer and director Prabhat Pani said that the hotel chain sees potential in the state for the concept adopted by Ginger Hotels.
He added that its aim was to provide essential facilities to both national and international travelers.
Pani said that Ginger Hotels created its own brand under the no-frill category and opened its first outlet in Bangalore in 2004.
Every rooms in the hotel has an air conditioner, electronic locks, work area, 20” LCD televisions with satellite channels, direct-dial telephone with STD facility, mini-fridge, and tea/coffee maker.
The hotel also has a conference hall with a capacity of 25, a cyber café, gymnasium, automatic check-in kiosk, ATM, vending machine, digital safe deposit box, and wi-fi connectivity in all rooms and common areas.
Despite being a budget hotel, it offers limited room service and a Landmark Book Store in the hotel here.
Ginger Hotels has a presence in New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Goa, Haridwar, Bhuvaneshwar, Puduchery, Pune, Nasik, Tiruvanantapuram, Patnagar (Rudrapur), Agartala, Vadodara, Durgapur, Surat, Chennai, Jamshedpur and Pune.
