Bengaluru, Mar 24: All the legal processes required to extradite underworld fugitive Ravi Poojary, who was arrested in the West African country of Senegal on the accusation of possessing duplicate passport, are almost complete. The teams of senior police officers of Mumbai and Bengaluru are all set to depart from India to Senegal.

The legal process to bring the fugitive back to the country is done in the court of Senegal through the Indian high commission office in the capital city of Dakar. As much as 90% of the legal process is complete. The police of Mumbai and Karnataka have submitted the records of the criminal charges that the fugitive Ravi Poojary is accused of to the Sengalese court.

On the other hand, Ravi Poojary has hired a local lawyer in Senegal and is defending himself. He is arguing that he is Antony Fernandes and not Ravi Poojary. In addition, Ravi Poojary is also saying that he is a partner in many businesses in the country of Senegal. However, it is learnt, through reliable sources in police, that the court in Senegal has quashed his argument based on the documents submitted by India.

As the news of extraditing Ravi Poojary to India is getting more strong, his accomplices in the state of Karnataka are shivering as the time of unearthing of their role in the illegal activities that the fugitive was carrying out through them is very near.
