Bengaluru, Mar 19: The state energy department has assured that electricity is being supplied as per the requirement in the state of Karnataka and there is no need for the public, including the students, to panic.
The officials said that, at present there is a requirement of 12,500 megawatt of electricity and the same volume is being supplied. However, in certain areas, including Bengaluru, electricity supply is getting affected and the people are scared that load shedding may be done soon.
