Mangaluru: Two-day 'Vasantotsav' enthralls classical music lovers

Mangaluru, Mar 18: The two-day Karnataka ‘Vasantotsav’ presented by Sangeet Bharati Foundation ended on a grand note with a vocal concert of Padmashree Awardee Pt Ulhas Kashalkar here at Town hall on Sunday March 17.

On March 16, there was violin and flute jugalbandi by Kumaresh on the violin, and Pravin Godkindi playing the flute keeping the audience thoroughly entertained. Sathish Kumar with Mridangam and Adithya Kalyanpur with Tabla supported the jugalbandi.

Operations director of Daijiworld Media Melvyn Rodrigues along with renowned cardiologist Dr Mohan Pai inaugurated the second day of Karnataka Vasantotsav on March 17.



On the second day, there was vocal concert by Padmashree Awardee Pt Ulhas Kashalkar with his team. Swapneel Bhise played the Tabla while Krishna Mukhedkar played the harmonium.

Renowned Sitarist Ustad Rafique Khan, chairman of Expert Educational Institution Narendra L Nayak, vice-0chairman of Expert educational institution Ushaprabha Nayak and others were present.
