Mangaluru, Mar 17: The heartbeat of the ticket aspirants of BJP is increasing day by day as the time of announcing the final list of candidates is getting near. In the midst of the preparations for getting the Lok Sabha ticket once again from the constituency of Dakshina Kanada, sitting MP Nalin Kumar Kateel seems to have to put up with difficulties at the last moment. Threat by one of the BJP workers that he will commit suicide if Lok Sabha ticket is given to Nalin again this time, has created confusion and chaos in the district BJP circles.
When the BJP worker in question was approached over the telephone, in order to ask him to attend the conference of activists of Dakshina Kannada BJP Shakti Kendra, he said that he will kill himself, if ticket is given to Nalin again this time. The audio which is in the Tulu language is going viral on social media.
In the audio, the guy expresses his anger and says, “This time, I will not come with anyone to seek votes in favour of Nalin Kumar Kateel. Why we want Nalin Kumar Kateel, who does not inquire about us when some issue happens and cases are put on us? A person, who does not even come to the police station, should not get elected again.” In addition, he has also threatened to kill himself in front of the BJP office.
Both the people who are communicating in the audio are the BJP activists of Puttur. They are saying that they will not work for Nalin this time for sure. In addition, they have told that they will not send any boys who are with them for the campaigning. BJP workers of many parts of the Dakshina Kannada district, including Sullia and Puttur are expressing their dissatisfaction over the functioning of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. Many have urged on social media for the change of BJP candidate for the elections this time.
It is also learnt that, in the survey that was conducted by team sent by Amit Shah, negative report is reported about Nalin. Only time will tell, whether there will be a new face as a BJP candidate this time for the Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency.
