Mangaluru, Mar 4: Kota Srinivas Poojary, leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council alleged that Congress is taking a soft stance against the enemy of the nation.
At a press meet on Monday, March 4, Poojary hit back at district-in-charge minister U T Khader’s statement that Congress is worried about the country and BJP is counting seats. In response Poojary lashed back “BJP is worried about the nation and the army, but Congress is worried about terrorists, such an atmosphere has been created.”
“When surgical strike - 2 took place every nation in the world including America, England, Russia, Israel, China justified the move made by India, but some Mahaghatbandhan leaders are showing soft corner towards the enemy nation and asking for evidence of IAF strike. While brother of Masood Azhar has himself claimed that Balakot has been destroyed, then what kind evidence they need?” Poojary questioned.
He also justified Yeddyurappa’s statement on how airstrike will convert into votes. “Yeddyurappa’s comment was his perspective of Modi's decision on the attack and people's support for the decision,” he said.
At the press meet, he also highlighted that 70 per cent of the 16,000 pure drinking water units are non functional. Alleging misuse of funds, he demanded state government to form a committee to probe and submit a report on pure water drinking units.
