Mangaluru Feb 15: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal staged a protest at PVS Circle in the city, on Friday, February 15, against the terror attack at Pulwama, which claimed the lives of more than 40 CRPF personnel.
Addressing the protesters, district president VHP Jagadish Shenava said, "It is very disheartening to see 40 CRPF personnel lose their life in one of the deadliest terror attacks at Pulwama. We demand Prime Minister Modi to call for war as another surgical strike will not be the answer for this attack and make sure that Pakistan will not exist on the world map. Prime Minister also need to take action against the traitors who stand in favour of terrorism and celebrate the terror attack, and should send them back to Pakistan,"
VHP regional secretary Sharan Pumpwell said, "There is direct hand of Pakistan in this attack. There are more terrorists inside our country than outside and action should be taken against them. The attacker was from India itself and plan was made in Pakistan to kill the CRPF personnel. We demand our Prime Minister Narendra Modi to call for a war against Pakistan,"
Later VHP and Bajrang Dal members blocked the road for a while and showed their agitation against the attack by raising slogans.
VHP leaders Shivanand Mendon, Bujanga Kulal and others were present.
