Bengaluru, Feb 12: The city police are seriously thinking of slapping Goonda Act on rowdy sheeter lady don Yashashwini Gowda.
Yashaswini had assaulted a lady recently in the city. A case against her stands registered in the north division of the city police department. If the Goonda Act is slapped against her, she will hold the infamous distinction of becoming the first ever lady in the city on whom this Act is registered by the police.
Already two cases stand registered against Yashashwini on this. It is not clear whether the south or the north city police will implement the Goonda Act on her as per the information given by a senior police officer.
Yashaswini is involved in several threat and assault incidents that have taken place in areas under the limits of Chennammanakere Achhukattu police station. Recently the lady don had attacked a 42-year-old woman in Gangammanagudi in the city.
At present the lady done is absconding since the day a case was registered against her in the Yashantpur sub division. Her accomplice Govindraj has accused in the police station that a lady called Lalita has registered a case on Yashashwini wrongly.
Govindraj, accomplice of the lady don thrashed Arun, an eyewitness of the assault on the lady in the police station itself. Now this case is transferred to Malleshwaram police station.
Muniyamma alias Yashashwini was ruling the underworld in areas under the limits of Basavanagudi police station. She is the president of the ladies wing of Sri Rama Sene. In addition to extortion, she used to carry out finance business. Only certain individuals have mustered the courage to file cases against her, though she is openly threatening and extorting money from many people.
