Moodbidri, Jan 29: Thieves stole golden ornaments worth lacs of rupees after entering the house when the inmates of the house were not there. The theft has come to light after four days.
Suchitra, a resident of Neeralke Pucchemogaru had been to a marriage of her relative at Mangaluru on Jan 24. She returned to her home only on Sunday, Jan 27. On return, she was shocked to find that the house is ransacked and cupboard is broken and 75 grams of gold worth Rs 2.15 lac is stolen by the intruders.
Suchitra has registered a complaint in this regard with the Moodbidri police on Monday, January 28. Police have got the clue of the thieves and further investigation is on.
