Rule is Rules no one can disobey .whether they have fined him or just a safe release. If it was by some other common man they would have dragged him to the jail taking his vehicle RC license and stuffs and with a damn fine. deployed police man should banned from drinking.

Apart from the fines and compensation make him pay the medical treatment costs. It is unfortunate that people were lathicharged. The income tax authorities should verify if he has disproportionate assets. Strict action is required.
