Mangaluru, Jan 24: St Agnes College has bagged the ‘Best National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit' award at Mangalore University level for the year 2017-2018.
Sr Dr Venissa AC, vice principal, St Agnes College received the award from High Court retired judge H N Nagamohan Das at the award ceremony held at University College, Hampankatta, Mangaluru on January 23.
Dr Uday Kumar B, the NSS programme coordinator of St Agnes College was honoured with the ‘Best Programme Coordinator Award’ and NSS volunteer and St Agnes College student Rachana Shetty won the best ‘NSS Volunteer Award’ for 2016-17.
Constitutional Studies nodal officer Dr Vittal Bhandary, University College principal Dr Udaykumar MA, Dr Gannanath Shetty Ekkur were the dignitaries present at the award ceremony.
The NSS Unit of St Agnes College is one of the earliest and prestigious units to be setup in Mangaluru.
