Bengaluru, Jan 24: Sources say that arrest of Kampli MLA, J N Ganesh, is round the corner. He has gone missing after a case about assault on Vijayanagara MLA, Anand Singh, was registered against him.
State home minster, M B Patil, asserted that rowdy sheet standing in the name of Ganesh, which was existent in the past but was closed in 2015, would be reopened and he will be acted against in terms of legal provisions.
Patil said that the party top leaders were not aware of the gravity of the situation till they met Anand Singh in the hospital and thereafter strict instructions were issued to the police to arrest Ganesh from wherever he is. He said he has never witnessed politics of such low level, and lamented that recent political developments are likely to affect political values adversely.

It is said that Congress has planned to take action against Ganesh to ensure that Anand Singh remains with the party. This will also effectively thwart any effort on Ganesh's part to hop to BJP, Congress leaders believe.
In the midst of these developments, BJP has decided to keep equidistance from both the legislators. Chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, said that there is no question of misuse of power in the case relating to beating up of MLA, Anand Singh, and that no efforts would be made to conceal any information relating to this issue.
In the meantime, former minister, Janardhana Reddy, met Anand Singh at the hospital on Wednesday morning. He accused former chief minister, Siddaramaiah, and minister, D K Shivakumar, of being responsible for the split among Ballari legislators. He said that factionalism among the legislators was the root cause for the assault. Accusing the government of protecting Ganesh, he demanded the MLA's immediate arrest.
In the meantime, the doctors attending to Anand Singh have recommended him to continue his hospital stay for a week to fully recover from the injuries.
