Mangaluru: Thousands witness Rama-Lakshmana Jodukare Kambala

Mangaluru, Jan 14: The second edition of traditional Rama-Lakshmana Jodukare Kambala concluded at Goldfinch City with rich tradition and rituals on Sunday, January 13, under the aegis of Capt Brijesh Chowta. 

Thousands of Kambala lovers witnessed the event while over hundred pairs of buffaloes participated in the race. Various political and social leaders graced the event and praised Capt Brijesh Chowta’s initiative. They thanked him for promoting the culture of Tulunadu. 

Capt Brijesh thanked the members of Kambala committee, Kambala lovers and team owners. 



The winners of Kane Halage, Hagga and Negilu (senior) were awarded two sovereigns and runners-up were awarded one sovereign of gold, while winners of Adda Halage, Hagga, Negilu (junior) section were awarded one sovereign of gold and the runners-up were awarded half sovereign of gold.
