Mangaluru, Jan 13: District-in-charge minister U T Khader himself carried out duties as a traffic policeman for sometime at the Pumpwell circle on the national highway in the city, in order to clear the heavy congestion of traffic, on the afternoon of Saturday, January 12. He joined the other traffic cops on duty near the area and helped to facilitate the smooth movement of the traffic.
The video of Khader guiding the traffic on the national highway has gone viral on social sites.
"I got stuck in the national highway for 10 minutes. So I got down from the car and guided the vehicles for facilitating smooth flow of traffic. There is heavy congestion of traffic on this highway," said the minister.
"If traffic was banned on this highway, it should have been closed properly. No one should mislead the public," accused Khader.
