Mangaluru, Jan 12: St Lawrence Church and Shrine Bondel is all set to rock the community of the city with its celebrative and entertainment extravaganza 'Bondel Fiesta', which will be held at Bondel Church grounds on January 26 and 27.
The two-day fiesta will be a spectacular event comprising of high quality entertainment accompanied by sumptuous, homely food stalls. This event is being held for the aid of the parish and the school's developmental programmes, especially repaying the loan on the school building.
The fiesta will start on Saturday, January 26 at 6 pm and winds up at 10 pm. On Sunday, January 27 it will start at 10 am and will continue up to 10 pm. As the date is fast approaching, sincere efforts are on and preparations are in full swing.
The parish council, under the leadership of Fr Andrew Leo D'Souza is upbeat with its continuously successful programmes and is all set to take entertainment to another level.
As the event is expected to run full house, people are requested to confirm their participation in advance by purchasing the entry passes. The event has all the ingredients to become one of the best time in your life. To keep the audience enthralled, the fiesta will have various food and mock tail stalls, along with variety of games and sales stalls.
Exciting spot prizes and lucky draws will be held during the event. The mega competitions like 'Entertaining Family' and 'Talented Twins’ are also part of this event. Nonstop music from well-known DJ Acvin will be an added attraction of the event.
The automobile industry and various other corporate companies will also install their stalls in the fiesta with exclusive information of their products.
“Bondel Fiesta is exclusively organized for the aid of clearing the loan of our school. I appeal to the people to participate in this noble cause that will give you unlimited fun and entertainment. Finally, the time and money of the participants will go for a noble cause. The food counters of the fiesta will have pure homemade dishes, food items and majority of them are traditional. The preparations of fiesta have already started and even we gave a start for the sale of passes. It is a golden opportunity for friends and family members to enjoy with music and dance,” says Fr Andrew, parish priest.
