Bengaluru, Jan 7: The stenographer, who was caught carrying Rs 25.76 lac cash in a bag at one of the exits of the Vidhana Soudha on January 4, has reportedly been missing. His whereabouts are not known.
Mohan, the stenographer, has failed to appear before the investigating officer despite being summoned for questioning.
Mohan, who works in the office of Backward Classes Welfare Minister K Puttaranga Shetty, was detained by the police at the Vidhana Soudha west gate and had failed to produce documents to show the source of the money.
The investigating officer summoned Mohan for questioning at 11 am on Sunday, January 6, and waited until 2 pm. But Mohan did not turn up or return phone calls.
Police personnel were later sent to his house to summon him for questioning on Monday and to warn him of action if he again fails to do that, a senior officer said. It is not known if Mohan was found at his house.
Police are also checking his call detail records of the past few weeks to find out his callers.
