Kasargod: Sabrimala row - bombs hurled at houses of Left leaders

Daijiworld Media Network – Kasargod (RJP)

Kasargod, Jan 5: Violence erupted across Kerala on Friday night with bombs hurled at the house of Thalassery MLA and CPI(M) leader A N Shamseer and also some other places.

Unidentified persons riding a bike hurled a bomb at Shamseer's house at Madapeedikayil near Thalassery in Kannur district at around 10.15 pm, police said.

"This was an RSS conspiracy to instigate violence in the state. They intend to create violence and destroy the peaceful atmosphere of the state," Shamseer told the media later.

The attack happened when Shamseer was attending a peace meeting organised at Thalassery after widespread violence had hit the state following the hartal declared by right-wing groups over the entry of women in Sabrimala.

Bombs were also hurled at CPI(M) leader and former Kannur district secretary of CPI(M) P Sasi's house at Thalassery. A CPI(M) activist named Vishak was also attacked at Iritty, a place in Kannur district.

In another development, prohibitory orders have been issued at Pandalam, Adoor and Kodumon police station areas in Pathanamthitta district for seven days.

Two shops and the house of a CPI(M) local leader at Adoor were also attacked with bombs on Friday. Seven persons were injured in these attacks.

Pathanamthitta has witnessed widespread violence over the entry of women into the hill-top shrine of Sabrimala resulting in the death of a Sabarimala Karma Samiti member Chandran Unnithan at Pandalam.

Kerala has been marred with violence since the afternoon of January 2 after two women managed to enter Sabrimala temple.

Kerala has been witnessing massive protests from the right-wing organisations since the Left-led state government decided to implement the September 28 order of the Supreme Court allowing women of all ages to enter Sabrimala temple.

The all the organization involved in Sabarimala row are linked to so-called 'social organization' of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
After the 'Demonetisation' Prime Minister Modi said it will end terrorism finance in India. But in reality, these Hindu fanatics being caught with explosives in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and now in Kerala.
The difference only under PM Modi leadership is if Muslim caught he is terrorist. If he is a Hindu fanatic he is 'nationalist'. No matter the act of violence results in death and destruction.
It is time for Kerala government speed up the investigation of RSS involvement in the bombing. If the government is tough and reach to bust the 'Saffron terror' network BJP has no chances without any communal violence.
This should be applicable to all the parties regardless of religion. It not peace today Kerala will head for another 'Somalia'.
