Mangaluru, Dec 22: Athena Institute of Health Sciences, here on December 21 organized a magnificent Christmas programme at Athena auditorium.
The entire student body, faculty and management were present at the programme.
The programme began by invoking God’s blessings with a prayer song. Joanna Fernandes vice president SNA School of Nursing welcomed the gathering. R S Shettian chairman of Athena Institute of Health Sciences presided over the programme and gave an inspiring Christmas message wherein he stressed on the significance of Christmas. He also encouraged everyone to share peace and joy of Christmas to the less fortunate brethren through deeds of charity and love.
Principal Sr Dhanya Devasia in her Christmas message explained Pope Francis message of living Christmas in our day to day life. Asha Shettian, secretary and Dr Sr Alphonsa Ancheril, vice principal were also present.
The day’s celebration was marked with variety programmes like a skit enacting the scene of nativity of Jesus, carol singing by students and staff, dances, arrival of Santa Claus and others.
Suhain, 2nd Year BSc Renal Dialysis proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Dona Saju and Jobisha of 4th Year BSc (N).
