Bengaluru, Dec 17: In an incident which happened in the early hours of Sunday December 16, a motor bike rider, who got angry at the fact that water being splashed by a shopkeeper over the road to clear the dust fell on him, murdered the shopkeeper after a fight broke out between the two. The bike rider, employed in a company, also tried to end his own lie thereafter.
The incident happened at Kurubarahalli here. The deceased as Manjunath (45) from J C Nagar. During the quarrel, the accused also stabbed Manjunath's wife, Gangamma (40) and son, Manoj (20). Both of them are being treated in a private hospital. Thereafter, the accused also tried to end his own life by sinking the same knife into his abdomen region.
The accused, Akash (24), a resident of Rajajinagar here, is out of danger.
On Sunday morning, as usual, Manjunath was washing the steps and road in front of his shop with water when some water fell on Akash, who was passing by in his motor bike. Akash who was taken aback by this development, lost his balance and fell down. Threreafter he came to Manjunath and picked up quarrel. During this period, Manjunath's wife and son came out of their neighbouring house in defence of Manjunath. They also had brought a knife with them to threaten Akash. Akash, who snatched the knife, stabbed Akash, it is said. Thereafter he also stabbed himself in a bid to kill himself.
