Udupi, Dec 14: “A proposal requesting for traffic signals in NH 66 Ambalpady, Katpadi and Santhekatte junctions has been sent to national highway authority,” said superintendent of police (SP) Laxman Nimbargi. He was speaking in the SP office during phone-in programme on Friday December 14.
“Traffic problem on these three junctions is acute. As there is no dual path traffic on service road, controlling traffic density is also difficult. Several complaints about it are being received from people. There is provision for traffic signals on NH 66 on special requests,” he said.
