Udupi, Dec 5: Ansar Ahmed, chief of 'Pejawar Swamiji Muslim Fans Association' has filed a complaint against VHP leader Manjunath Swamy for making controversial statement against Islam and Muslim community.
It may be recalled that Manjunath Swamy, a national leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad had stoked a controversy through anti-Muslim statement at VHP Ram Mandir Janagraha Rally on December 2. Addressing the gathering Swamy said that a mosque is not the only place for Muslims to pray. "Islam is not a religion. Quran is a manifesto of Islam. Muslims need not compulsorily go to a mosque. They pray in bus stands and even in toilets. Why do they need a mosque in Ayodhya," he had asked.
