Udupi, Nov 11: MCC Bank launched mobile banking and services such as e-Stamping, pan card, senior citizen card, Vidya Bhavishya student SB account facilities at Mother of Sorrows church hall, Udupi, here on Saturday, November 10.
Udupi bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo launched the facilities. “MCC has an inseparable administrative board. A tiny seed is grown into a huge tree today and that is MCC. Today banks are providing its services to the door steps of customers. Now the MCC bank is providing many such services. It has succeeded in winning the confidence of people. As we are in the competitive and technical world, it is important to update technology. Now the banking services are available at home through online and mobile banking facilities. MCC has joined the league of banks offering customer friendly services which is appreciable,” he said.
Fr Valerian Fernandes, parish priest, Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi said, “We are living in a technological era. MCC has achieved very less in 106 years while compared to other banks. But this bank has its own potential and dedicated staff. Most of the catholic community people and NRIs are enjoying benefits of MCC bank. Let people get more service from this bank. Let it grow in years to come.”
Sri Krishna Rao Kodancha, Chairman of Udupi Chamber of Commerce said, “Security is very important in mobile banking system. Around 60-70% of the banking business is happening online. The mobile banking system will be a common thing in future.”
“With online and mobile banking services, today there is no need to go to bank for any work. Now MCC has come up with new facilities and also student SB accounts. Let students make the best use of this benefit,” said Alwyn Quadras, president, Catholic Church of Udupi Diocese.
