Mangaluru: Shravan Mahesh of St Aloysius College bags gold, silver medals at International Skating

Mangaluru, Oct 13: Shravan Mahesh, a student of I BA won gold medal in relay and three silver medals in 500 mt, 1000 mt and 1500 mt respectively during the Ice Speed
Short Track Skating International Championship held at Philippines from September 23 to 29.

Shravan Mahesh is the proud son of National Awardee Mahesh, the renowned skating coach of Mangaluru. His sister Sharanya Mahesh is also an alumnus of St Aloysius
College and skating champion. She was the recipient of the prestigious ‘Ekalavya Award’ in 2010.



At the age of 6, Shravan began the practice of skating. He has participated in various skating competitions at regional, national and international levels.

The ice on the cake was his recent journey to Philipines where he participated in the International Skating Championship and bagged gold medal in relay and three silver medals in other events.

The college is proud at the singular achievement of Shravan Mahesh and wishes that him more laurels in the years to come.

The management, staff and students of St Aloysius wish him success at the Asian Championship 2018 to be held at Jakartha, Indonesia from November 22 to December 2.
