Hassan, Sep 26: "Some politicians have made it a habit to wonder if their place is being transformed into Mangaluru, whenever some pro-Hindu programme is held there. These local politicians appear to be trying to turn our places into Pakistan," said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader, and president of Swami Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.
He was speaking at a programme of 'Hindu Samajotsava' organized at Halebeedu in Belur taluk of the district under the aegis of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and district and taluk units of Bajrang Dal, and also the inaugural function of Halebeedu revenue division unit of Bajrang Dal.
"For politicians, indulging in politics is the only way of life. We have no objections if they are capable. But criticizing Hindu programmes for the purpose of retaining position of importance in politics, speaking in support of anti-nationals, or selfish vote bank politics, are wrong,” he opined.
He questioned whether these people expect Hindus to silently bear with their rhetoric against Hindu gods, duly observing that those who question such behaviour are branded as communal. "We will not tolerate speeches against Hindu society and gods. We are ready to be imprisoned for the sake of our country and gods. Because of the mistake committed by ceding Pakistan during independence, terrorism has spread all over the world now. Pakistan has turned into a hub where terrorists are being generated. The entire world has lost mental peace because of that country. More than the country's development, its protection and conservation are worrying us," he explained.
Somashekhara Swamiji of Pushpagiri Math, in his address, noted that Hindus are being divided for the purpose of ruling them in the name of Hindu religion and castes. He warned that unless Hindus wake up now and do the needful, in future, they might turn into a minority in their own country.
