Kadaba, Sep 25: A case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) stands registered against a person for harassing a boy and attacking him. The attack reportedly happened on September 21.
The boy in question, who is a ninth standard student, was returning home after visiting a friend on Friday as there was holiday for school. An acquaintance identified as Mustafa, who was riding a motor bike, is said to have told the boy that he was attractive, and invited him to accompany the former in his two-wheeler. When the boy refused, Mustafa scolded him with abusive words, pushed him to the ground and attacked him, as per the police complaint. The injured boy stands admitted into the government hospital at Puttur.
In his complaint, the boy said that Mustafa had been lustfully eyeing him since sometime, and that the accused attacked him for refusing to get seated in his motor bike. The police have taken up investigation.
