Mangalore, Oct 18: The Pradip Kumar Kalkura felicitation committee will honour  Pradip Kumar Kalkura on being elected president of the District Kannada Sahitya Parishat, at Town Hall, on Tuesday October 21.

Addressing the media on Friday October 17, Prof M B Puranik, president of the committee, said that Pejavar Sri Vishwesha Thirtha Shripada Swami, district in-charge minister J Krishna Palemar, mayor Ganesh Hosabettu, Dr Thaltaje Vasant Kumar, chairman, department of Kannada, Mumbai University, and P Jayaram Bhat, chief general manager, Karnataka Bank, will participate in the programme.

Bharata Bhushan Swasti Sri Bhattaraka Charukirthi Pandithacharyavarya Swami, Sri Jain Mutt, Jainkashi, Moodbidri, will preside over the function. Scholar Dr M Prabahakar Joshi will give the felicitation speech. Yakshagana Talamaddale ‘Danasoora Bali’ will be  organized from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, he added.
