Puttur, Aug 6: Interact Club of St Philomena PU College sponsored by Rotary Club here, recently organized an installation programme of office bearers of the Interact Club.
Installing officer, Rtn PHF Manohar K, president, Rotary Club here, said that the students should develop leadership qualities and should learn to take on responsibilities. He advised students to maintain a good relationship to build a healthy society. He then administered the oath taking ceremony to the new office bearers of the Interact Club of St Philomena PU College.
The chief guest, Rtn Krishna Mohan, Interact chairman said, "Rotary Club Puttur city, said that most of the people today are busy and are not able to spare time to think about the welfare of the society. They have become so selfish that they are not concerned with other matters but, Rotary club is striving hard to bring about a change in the society. The club had aimed to eradicate polio from society and gained success in its mission. He advised the students to spend their valuable time to serve society.
The chief guest Fr Vijay Lobo, principal of St Philomena PU College appreciated the Rotary Club members for conducting welfare programmes for the well being of the society. He congratulated the office bearers and advised them to imbibe the quality of serving society and dedicate themselves for the upliftment of society. By this they can develop a healthy relationship in society and good things may exist in society.
The programme was co-ordinated by Ashalathe (department of Mathematics) and Rekha (department of Electronics).
