Udupi, Jul 25: The inaugural programme of a new photography club was held at Milagres College, Kallianpur recently. It was organized by the department of English. The club has been created out of the demand of the students of the college. Ravi Andrew Alva inaugurated the club. He is a photographer based in Kuwait and has clicked various pictures that have gained a lot of recognition. He is the member of a group called ‘Weekenders’ in Kuwait.

Ravi Andrew Alva gave the information about basics regarding DSLR photography, Shutter Speed, Aperture and ISO. He demonstrated how these three works together in getting a well-lit picture. The session was taken outside to try various styles and types of photography like Panning, Macro Photography, Leading Lines and Rule of Thirds and Symmetric photography.

The programme began with the principal Dr Vincent Alva, addressing the gathering spoke about the various activates that the club would be performing including covering various events held in the college and organising outdoor trips with professional mentors. The programme was ended with the vote of thanks rendered by Rolwin.
