Media ReleaseMangaluru, Jul 24: ICYM Urwa unit celebrated Vanamahotsava in a unique way at St Aloysius Kannada Medium School, Urwa on Saturday July 21. Fr Jason Lobo, assistant parish priest, Urwa welcomed the students and the gathering. The programme commenced with a prayer song led by the students of St Aloysius Kannada Medium School.
Fr Stany Periera - parish priest, Urwa church presided over and inaugurated the programme in a symbolic way by planting a sapling in a pot. He addressed the students on the importance of Vanamahotsava through an interactive session. Fr Cyril Lobo - resident priest, Urwa, head teacher – Florine Pereira and staff of the school along with ICYM members of Urwa unit were present at the programme. After the inaugural programme ICYM members in co-ordination with Ashwitha Dantis conducted various innovative games for the students classwise and prizes were distributed to the winners.
