Mangaluru, Jul 22: Mount Carmel Central School (MCCS), Maryhill hosted an enlightening RSA workshop on July 21 for the CBSE school teachers.
The seminar started with invoking God’s blessings through a prayer song by the students of MCCS.
The resource person for the day nominated by CBSE – Centre of Excellence, Chennai was Dr Abdul Jaleel Perla, principal of Aliya Senior Secondary School, Kasargod. He catered to all the aspects of Remodeled Structure of Assessment (RSA) for secondary classes such as periodic tests, notebook assessment, internal assessment etc.
He also emphasized on the parameters of assessment for co-scholastic areas such as games and sports, health and fitness, social Empowerment through work education and action and health and activity card. He elaborated on how the school should take student’s regularity, sincerity, behavior and values for the assessment on discipline.
The session ended with a questionnaire which was very useful and knowledgeable.
A total of 60 teachers from 19 CBSE schools in and around Mangaluru participated in the workshop. They returned home with a sense of contentment for the enrichment they received during the day.
