Kasargod: Police confiscate two bullet bikes with fake number plates

Kasargod, Jul 17: Police here confiscated two bullet bikes with fake number plates. The riders are absconding. Preliminary investigations revealed that the bikes were stolen from Bantwal. A police team led by Kasargod circle inspector Abdul Rahim was inspecting vehicles in the vicinity of Kasargod railway station when the riders who came that way left their bikes and fled.

Police confiscated the bikes and telephoned the owners on the basis of their number plates asking them to bring their bikes to the police station. On investigation, the police came to know that the registration numbers of the bikes confiscated by them are fake. When they checked the engine numbers they found out that the bikes were stolen from Bantwal.



Kasargod police intensified the investigations. They contacted Bantwal police and are taking further action. They have received definite information that a network fixing fake number plates on bikes and selling them is active in the district. Investigations are on. Police are on the look out for the absconding suspects.
