M'luru: Sahyadri College Team Challengers emerge 2nd in SAE-ISS at Anna University Chennai

Mangaluru, Jul 14: Team Challengers of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, here participated in SAE-ISS (SAE India Southern Section) at Anna University, Chennai.

It is a national level three day Aerodesign Competition where students from all over the country participate. Challengers participated in Micro UAV Class and won second place overall performance and best design report. Highest payload lifted is 1.5 Kg.



Team Challengers participants were Pramod Kumar from 1st year Computer Science, Shamanth Gowda and Meghana Shetty from 2nd year E & C, Abdul Shameer Mechanical student, Rakshith Karumbaiah and Pranamya A Y from 3rd year Information Science an Nanda Kumar from 4th year Mechanical Engineering.

The first day of the event included inaugural, technical inspection and presentation of the models. On the second day, the team had assembly round and won 50 points bonus for completing the task within 89 seconds. The third day witnessed second flight rounds.

The valedictory ceremony concluded with prize distribution in the presence of dignitaries Dr S Ganesan, registrar Anna University (chief guest), S Sriraman, chairman SAEISS, Dr K Senthil Kumar, champion ADC and director MIT Campus, Dr B T N Sridhar head dept of Aerospace Engineering MIT Campus, Anna University.
