Bantwal, Jul 13: Konaje station police after getting definite information of ganja peddling, arrested Mohammed Azeez at Kallarakodi cross, Naringana here on Thursday, July 12 and confiscated 1.3 kg of ganja, cash amounting ti Rs 22,030, a mobile handset and a scooter used for trading ganja from him. The cost of seized items comes to approximately Rs 80,000.

Investigations revealed that he used to bring ganja from Kolar for sale. Four cases of ganja peddling are pending against him in Mangaluru. Police are on the lookout for other suspects in the case.

Konaje police inspector Ashok, PSI Ravi Peeru Pawar, south sub division anti rowdy squad staff ASI Mohan, Riji, Rajaram, Damodar, Iqbal, Girish, Sunil, Mahesh, Sharif, Ravichandra, Sudhir Shetty and Dayanand took part in the operation in the leadership of south division ACP Rama Rao in the guidance of DCP Hanumantaraya law and order, Uma Prashanth, DCP crime and traffic on orders from police commissioner Suresh.
