Bengaluru: Murder of 38-year-old - complainant's son arrested

Bengaluru, Jul 13: In connection with the recovery of the body of a youth from a stream in K R Nagar Mysuru recently, the police personnel of Soladevanahalli station here have succeeded in cracking the murder case.

Basheer (38), who was living near Acharya College in Soladevanahalli had been killed and his body had been tossed into a stream near Mysuru. Basheer, a real estate agent and native of Vijayapura, the police say, was killed by Roshan (20), son of Illyas, employed in a private firm.

Basheer was a close friend of Illyas, father of Roshan. Basheeer, who was unmarried, was staying in the house of Illyas here since the last 18 years. Illyas had left for Tumakuru on June 27 on some work. On the night of June 29, Basheer, who fought over some financial matters, was about to thrash Roshan. Roshan, who got flared up, hit Basheer's head with a cricket bat. Basheer died on the spot. Thereafter, Roshan, with the help of his mother, tied up the body in a bag, took the body in a car on the same night, and threw the body near a stream about 20 km away from K R Nagar Mysuru.

Illyas came back home from Tiumakuru on July 1. His wife and son, when questioned, told him that Basheer had left for his native place. Illyas waited for two days. As he could not get any information about Basheer, he filed missing complaint in Soladevanahalli station on July 4.
