Udupi: Hit by motor bike, bicycle rider passes away

Udupi, Jul 13: A bicycle rider lost his life after a motor bike hit his vehicle with force. The incident happened opposite Nandini Hotel on national highway 66 at Airody village in the taluk at around 8.10 pm on Wednesday July 11.

Reportedly the accident was caused on account of over speeding and recklessness on the part of the bike rider. The deceased has been identified as Madhukar B (52), resident of Bennekudru village near Barkur in the taluk.

Madhukar was going to the parental home of his wife at Sastan village from his house. At Airody, he was waiting by the roadside to cross the road when a motor bike which came from behind him hit his two-wheeler with force. The motor bike rider, identified as Gireesh Achar, had violated traffic rules, moved on the one-way road, swerved to the extreme east and hit Madhukar who was standing by the roadside, reports said.

Madhukar fell to the road due to the force of the accident and suffered injuries to his head and other body parts. He was taken to KMC Hospital at Manipal and admitted there. But he did not respond to treatments, and breathed his last on Thursday morning, police stated.

A cse about this accident was registered in Kota police station.

    What case ... why dont these police join any nataka company.... they act as they will punish the rider and they will slowly demand money from him... when they get satisfied.. they will let go the person... who cares if a person lost his life... thier pocket filling is important to them...
