Byndoor: House collapses in heavy rain and wind, residents escape unhurt

Byndoor, Jul 12: A house at Bolamballi in Kalthodu grama panchayat limits here collapsed due to heavy rain and wind on Wednesday, July 11.

The loss is estimated to exceed a lac of rupees. However, Nemiraj Jain, Bhavani, Vajrakumar, Deepa and Shresta, the residents of the house, escaped unhurt as they had gone out for work. The incident took place when there was nobody in the house.



Village accountant Shivananda visited the spot and took stock of the loss. Panchayat president Annappa Shetty also visited the place.

Byndoor MLA Sukumar Shetty, reacting to the loss, asked officials concerned to visit the place and submit a report.
