Kasargod: Robbers decamp with gold after throwing chilly powder on house members

Kasargod, Jul 11: Robbers who entered a house by breaking open a window, splashed chilly powder on the faces of the house members of Chooripalla resident of Nellikatte, late Beeran Haji and decamped with ten sovereign gold here.

The incident happened at Choorithadka, Nellikatte in the house of Chooripalla resident, late Beeran Haji in the early morning of Tuesday July 10.



Robbers splashed chilly powder on the faces of Ameena, wife of Beeran Haji and daughter in law Mariyambi who were asleep. When they raised an alarm, robbers threatened the children who woke up by brandishing a knife.

Ameena (45) and Mariyambi (24) who are injured, are admitted to hospital. Mariyambi's husband is employed in the Gulf.

Badiadka police rushed to the spot on receiving the information. Investigations are in progress.
